In celebration of the National Hospital Week, Deputy Speaker and Lone District of Antique Representative Loren Legarda assured her kasimanwa that she will continue to provide Antiqueños with quality health care services and to address issues that affect their health and well-being.
“This health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic calls for a stronger and more effective healthcare system. We have to continue to improve the health facilities in the province to ensure that Antiqueños have access to quality, safe, and affordable health services, especially by the indigents in our communities,” Legarda said.
Recognizing the historical significance of the Old Capitol Building, Deputy Speaker and Lone District of Antique Representative Loren Legarda has spearheaded efforts to restore the Old Capitol Building, located in San Jose de Buenavista, the capital town of Antique.

Deputy Speaker and Lone District of Antique Representative Loren Legarda continues to uplift the lives of many Antiqueños by ensuring that programs of the national government continue to reach the province and benefit her kasimanwa.
Among these programs are the Barangay Kabuhayan Skills Training Program (BKSTP), Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), and Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), all under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) benefitting over 10,000 Antiqueño trainees since 2016.
As the principal author of the Philippine Innovation Act, Deputy Speaker and Antique Lone District Representative Loren Legarda expressed that innovation and competitiveness should be mainstreamed as vital components of the country’s national development and sustainable economic growth.
“Innovation is a vital component of the country’s development policies. Thus, we have to mainstream innovation and competitiveness in all government programs. If implemented properly, this will help bolster active micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), produce a highly skilled workforce, and promote competitiveness through the use and adoption of technological advancements in our different industries and sectors,” Legarda said.
