Message: Dialogue with NAST Scientists (DOST)

September 24, 2019

Message: Provincial Development Council Meeting

September 24, 2019

As the former Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, I introduced a special provision in this year’s General Appropriations Act that ensures that local development plans are formulated based on a comprehensive consultation among the local development council, the local peace and order council, and the local disaster risk reduction management council, along with other local sectoral councils/committees.

By emphasizing the important role of the local development councils, the coordination and relationship among local and provincial offices and agencies are strengthened, which are the keys to achieving inclusive, equitable, resilient and sustainable development not only for our province, but also for the entire nation.

Message: Provincial Solid Waste Management Board Meeting

September 23, 2019

Solidarity Message: Youth Strike for Climate Philippines

September 23, 2019

Today, I stand by the Youth Strike for Climate Philippines — united with the youths all over the world in the Global Climate Strike, and with its demand for ambitious and faster climate action.

The climate emergency is unequivocal. And the only fitting response is to change our ways — from our way of thinking and living, to our way of pursuing development.

Message: Student leaders’ Induction Program

September 11, 2019

The Philippines is a country blessed with so many scenic islands that captivate locals and foreigners alike. Even in the patches of green here in the city, one is compelled to literally stop and smell the roses.
